#1: Bats are the only mammals that can fly.
Other mammals that "fly" such as flying squirrels are actually gliding instead of flying.
#2: It would only take about one hour to drive a car to space.
If a car traveled upward at 60 miles per hour, it would only take about an hour to reach space.
#3: The longest distance traveled by a paper airplane is over 226 feet.
On February 26, 2012, Joe Ayoob and John M. Collins designed and flew a paper airplane from a single piece of paper that traveled a distance of 226 feet and 10 inches at the McClellan Air Force Base in North Highlands, California.
#4: New Zealand has more sheep than people.
According to recent estimates, there are about 29.5 million sheep and about 4.6 million people in New Zealand. That means there are approximately 6 sheep to every human in the country!
#5: The oldest known drawing by humans is 73,000 years old.
The drawing was discovered in a cave in South Africa. The drawing consists of red lines made with crayon.
