Family Preservation Program

The Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley has played a pivotal role in the lives of thousands of children and families.  As the lead agency in providing family preservation programs and services to the San Fernando Valley, the Club has always focused on keeping families together and children safe since its inception of the Family Preservation Program in 1993.
The Club's many services for children and families include:
  • Intensive In-Home Counseling
  • Individual, Conjoint, and Group Counseling
  • Clinical Assessments
  • Child Focused Activities
  • Teaching and Demonstrating Home-Making Skills
  • Parenting Training and Skills Enhancement
  • Transportation
  • Linkage and Referral Services
Its trained professional and para-professional staff have provided Family Preservation services to over 12,000 families with more than 100,000 hours of counseling.
This investment in quality and proven leadership by the Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley has resulted in 24 years of successful services to children and families throughout the San Fernando Valley.
Teens and young adults have the opportunity to work and gain skills through Club partnerships with local job placement programs.
Teen members meet L.A. City Council President Herb Wesson at the Club's 50th Anniversary Gala.
Young Chefs in Action is a  program for members that promotes fun and nutritious baking and cooking.
Members get a visit from a scuba diver at the California Science Center.
