The $1 Million Next-Gen Mask Challenge aims to reimagine protective face masks used to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by making them more comfortable, functional, accessible, and even stylish.
Now through October 22
This activity is for ages 15 years and older.
The LA-based XPRIZE Foundation, known for hosting big problem-solving competitions (think space travel, oceans and robots), is meeting the times and taking on face masks. They’re inviting 15-24 year olds to design a mask that people want to wear.
The rules? It must be fashion-forward and solve the deterrents to mask-wearing.
The prize? $1 Million!
Registration is now open and runs through October 22, with winners announced in February 2021. Do you have the million dollar mask design already planned out in your head?!
